ASIP Technologies Private Limited is a unique venture by Silicon Valley professionals, to set up a World-class Semiconductor OSAT/ ATMP facility, an important value-added ecosystem in Semiconductor manufacturing, which is to be established for the first time on a commercial scale in India.
India’s “Make in India” initiative has resulted in substantial value-added manufacturing getting established in India, especially in Consumer Electronics, IT and Computer systems, and Mobile phone manufacturing, with India becoming the 2nd largest manufacturer in the world. The Government has prioritized ongoing support for the ESDM sector by enabling policy initiatives that have made the environment favorable for value-added manufacturing in India.
The core team members, Venkata Simhadri, MM Pallam Raju, and Sreenivas Vaddi established Advanced System in Package (ASIP) Technologies Private Limited in the Fall of 2017, with the intent of establishing a world-class OSAT facility, to cater to the growing Indian ESDM activity and also markets worldwide. Sreenivas Vaddi, a veteran of the Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry from Silicon valley is the CEO of the enterprise.
OSAT/ ATMP process contributes about 30-40% of the value of an IC, depending on the packaging and leads.
After obtaining the project clearance from the Telangana Government, the land has been acquired for the project in an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) close to the International airport, Hyderabad, and the mandatory project clearances for beginning construction are in progress.
The sanction letter for the Capital Subsidy announced by the Government of India has also been granted to ASIP Technologies Private Limited in January 2021.
